Ana Richardson - Bernard Demiaux
Coca Tango is a supermarket parody in which the products are the outward sign of thoughts and impressions we had during our trip through Argentina in 1996 and 1997.
You can wander through the supermarket Coca Tango, flip through the lists of network actors, and place virtual orders for the products on display, dreaming up your own barter currency.
In the exotic products department counter, you can
- join in the Che Quiz,
- look at the tales of extinct animals...
and in the current products department counter:
- travel through special and promotions,
- Eva Peron talking with Carlos Gardel,
- or enter the Internationalism theater
Your replies will be artistically transposed into Binarisations and Signes Ordiniriques by Bernard Demiaux and Ana Richardson and can be consulted on the network.
Binarisations
Binarisations are images composed with 0 and 1, they symbolize artistically the form and the content of digital information.
During the performance, in every received message, Bernard Demiaux select the signifiant words relating to the theme, and transpose them artistically into binarisations.
The binary transposition of the message is sending again on the network.
It is the accumulation of binarisations relating to a theme which determine artistically the sense of the network.
Signes Ordiniriques
Ana Richardson use signs as information switching.
Signes Ordiniriques are numeric signs organized to recreate the sense of the message of the correspondent.
It is the accumulation of these signs which allow to invent the imaginary of the network.
