Long-distance Creation Paris - Toronto
Parigraph 1985

(note from 1985 for the performance of simultaneous
creation of images Paris-Toronto in Parigraph 85 with Ana Richardson)
Every day between 4:00 and 5:00 pm, French and Canadian artists connected by
the network NAPLPS work together on the images of a scenario, exchanging and
modifying them gradually as they create.
Two identical stations of image creation in Paris and in Toronto allow them
to exchange digital images in real time by the intermediary of the telecommunication
network. The system of transmission uses the standard commuted network.
These images coded by the standard NAPLPS are very compact and therefore rapidly
transmitted and displayed. This allows for the exchange and quasi-instantaneous
modification of the creations produced from the two sides of the Atlantic.
